Complimentary maintenance
Two of your first visits cost nothing.
On a new Lexus running synthetic oil, the six month or 5,000 mile service and the twelve month or 10,000 mile service are both performed at no cost to you. That is not a coupon and it does not expire on a Friday. It is how Lexus protects the performance, the reliability, the safety and the resale value of the car it built.
Buy an L/Certified by Lexus vehicle and the programme starts again at purchase: your next four scheduled maintenance visits, within 2 years or 20,000 miles, whichever comes first.

The hour itself
So here is the hour you are actually booking.
Most dealership pages say "we service your vehicle" and stop there. This is the published scheduled maintenance service, item by item, next to the interval table an advisor reads before anyone quotes anything. Which items apply depends on your mileage and on whether the car runs synthetic oil, so the table is split that way too.
Interval decoder · new Lexus
- 6 months or 5,000 milesSynthetic · complimentary
The first scheduled visit on a new Lexus. Performed at no cost to you.
- 12 months or 10,000 milesSynthetic · complimentary
The second scheduled visit. Also performed at no cost to you.
- 30 days or 1,000 milesNon-synthetic · complimentary
Cars on non-synthetic oil run a different pair of complimentary services.
- 6 months or 5,000 milesNon-synthetic · complimentary
The second of that pair. This is the one owners are most often surprised by.
After those, Lexus recommends scheduled maintenance every six months or 5,000 miles, whichever occurs first, for 2001 and later model years.
What is performed
- Inspect and adjust all fluid levels
- Replace engine oil, replace oil filter
- Replace cabin air filter
- Rotate tires
- Visually inspect brake pads, calipers and rotors
- Road-test the vehicle
The road test is the item people read past, and it is the one that catches the fault a lift cannot. Nothing on this list is a guess: it is the Lexus scheduled maintenance service, and the full schedule for your model year is published.
Lexus maintenance scheduleWhile it happens
And this is what happens to you meanwhile.
Wi-Fi lounge
Sit down, work, and be out before the coffee goes cold.
Transportation
A ride to and from your home or office if you would rather not wait.
Lexus loaners
A fleet of loaner vehicles, for the jobs that need the day.
Complimentary car wash
It comes back cleaner than it went in. Every visit.
Cafe and boutique
A drink, a snack, and a full service boutique.
Business centre
Charging stations and a desk, for the calls that will not wait.
Who does the work
The hands under the hood trained at Lexus College.
Every technician who steps into the bay is Lexus factory-trained and certified, on the diagnostic tools the vehicle was designed around. What goes back on is genuine: parts made for your model, not made to fit it.
Tires
Specified for your vehicle, in stock, fitted the same visit, and covered by 24 month road hazard coverage.
Batteries
A complimentary check of the battery and charging system, and a genuine Lexus battery if it needs one.
Accessories
Designed and tested by Lexus engineers for a precise fit, with a comprehensive nationwide warranty.

When to stop waiting
Come in while it is still a squeal, not a grinding sound.
These are the six things Lexus of Chandler tells owners to bring the car in for. Four are brakes, two are alignment, and every one of them is cheaper on the day you first notice it.
The brake light is on
With the emergency brake off, that light is the system asking to be looked at. Book it.
The pedal goes near the floor
If the brake pedal almost reaches the floor when you press it, have the brakes checked immediately.
It takes longer to stop
A longer stopping distance than usual is not something to drive out. Same rule: immediately.
A squeal, then a grind
The squeal is worn pads. The grind is the rotors, and the grind costs more than the squeal.
It pulls left or right
Rough or poorly maintained road puts wheels out of alignment, and misalignment eats tires unevenly.
The wheel sits off-centre
Straight road, crooked steering wheel. Precision alignment equipment settles it in one visit.
Book it
All of which you can do from the phone in your hand.
Pick a day, say what the car is doing, and the advisor has your history open before you arrive. If you would rather talk to a person, the service line answers from seven.
Before you call
Or read the five answers first.
How early can I drop the car off?
The service drive opens at 7:00am Monday to Friday and 8:00am on Saturday. Saturday closes at 1:00pm and the department is closed Sunday. Most people leave the car before work and collect it on the way home.
Which of my maintenance visits are complimentary?
On a new Lexus running synthetic oil, the six month or 5,000 mile service and the twelve month or 10,000 mile service are both performed at no cost. On non-synthetic oil the complimentary services are 30 days or 1,000 miles and 6 months or 5,000 miles. On an L/Certified by Lexus vehicle the programme covers your next four scheduled visits within 2 years or 20,000 miles, whichever comes first.
Do I get a car while mine is in?
There is a fleet of Lexus loaner vehicles, and transportation to and from your home or office if you would rather not wait. If you do wait there is a Wi-Fi lounge, a cafe, a business centre with charging stations and a full service boutique.
Do you fit tires, and are they in stock?
Yes. The Lexus Tire Center stocks tires specified for your vehicle, fits them the same visit, and every set carries 24 month road hazard coverage. The work is done by Lexus-trained and certified technicians.
